Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a surprising crossover event that defies usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.

The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also adds the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
